Purchasing Assistant

About the Position

The Purchasing Assistant of Kian Soon Group will report directly to the Purchasing Lead and Supply Chain Manager of Kian Soon. This position is designed to make a significant contribution towards maintaining supply chain leadtime and timely availability of the Company’s products and services. Reporting directly to the Supply Chain Manager.




  1. Ensure that purchases are made from approved vendors.

  2. Prepare purchase order and approved it by Supply Chain Manager.

  3. Monitor the delivery schedules from Suppliers to ensure that all parts due arrive on time.

  4. Liaise with Suppliers for pull-in and push-out of delivery schedules from time to time.

  5. Ensure that the ETA for all orders is updated timely.

  6. Ensure that all incoming parts are processed timely.

  7. Assist QC Technician in obtaining replacement schedules from Suppliers on rejected goods.

  8. Responsible for the control of relevant controlled documents.

  9. Assist the Supply Chain Manager in meeting the FTG Saving Targets.

  10. To perform other tasks as may be assigned by the Purchasing Lead.



  • Minimum: Diploma in Logistics, Business or related, A Level

  • Fresh graduates are welcome.

  • Teamwork within the team and across departments

  • Effective time and stress management.

  • Multi-tasking

  • Negotiation skills

  • Ability to use MS Office, Outlook, Word, and Excel. 

  • Good command of Mandarin and English in both writing and oral (may need to handle Mandarin speaking suppliers)
